A field of blooms.
Which shall I pluck?
In their alluring costumes,
It’s all down to luck.

Like the luck of your birth.
What country, which parents?
Could be anywhere on earth,
during any world events.

Single or one of many?
Sisters, cousins, or brothers?
Lets face it; two a penny.
Same with fathers or grandmothers.

To court? To marry?
It’s all down to fate.
Whether you hasten or tarry,
luck chooses your mate.

Right time, wrong place!
Whether to run or duck.
Right job, wrong face!
You rely on good luck.

The flowers in the field
may benefit from being picked.
Their fate is already sealed,
but impossible to predict.
